Three Additional Tennessee Utilities Select MyUsage Prepay

Dallas, Texas – September 15, 2014 – Three Tennessee utilities, Humboldt Utilities, Mount Pleasant Power System, and Ripley Power and Light Co, have joined a growing number of utilities selecting Exceleron Software’s MyUsage to offer prepay utility services to local residents.

The three utility service providers have independently partnered with Dallas-based Exceleron Software, the leading software developer of prepay solutions for the utility sector. In the coming weeks, Exceleron will integrate its MyUsage platform with the utilities’ existing systems, including their advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), customer information system (CIS), and payment processors. Then each of the utilities will complete a pilot program before offering prepay accounts to all its residential customers.

“MyUsage Prepay has a strong presence in Tennessee, and these new business relationships will allow us to bring the benefits of prepay accounts to even more local residents,” said Jeff Severs, COO of Exceleron. “We appreciate these opportunities to demonstrate yet again why MyUsage Prepay is the leading prepay application for the utility sector.”

Customers who opt into the prepay program will be able to access their account balance and usage history via the MyUsage smartphone application, the MyUsage web portal, telephone, email, and text messaging. They can add funds to their prepay account through a variety of convenient payment options.
